Then & Now by Velma Jean Reeb

Today Poetcity presents local writer and poet Velma Jean Reeb's haiku Then & Now. Velma Jean (seen in the photos below) is a versatile-gifted Manhattanite poet who writes from the heart and soul. She regularly recites her poetry throughout the city and in other states. Her works have been received with much joy and admiration, earning her many accolades. She is now in the process of completing a book of poetry that we hope she publishes soon. Welcome to Poetcity

Hello all.




This blog is especially created for the enhancement and appreciation of Poesy, the oldest art of humanity.


It is my sincere hope that its content finds the heart, interest and concern of poets, poesy enthusiasts, writers, artists, and thinkers in general.


As a starting point, I've posted a few of my own personal poems (the ones I like and do not like so much).


Also, I've posted photos I took of the Manhattan, which I think finely accompanies and provides a background to the poems.

If you wish to have your poems or photos posted in this blog, please send me copies of the same and I'll inform you within a reasonable time of any consideration I may make of them.
